Jay Jewelry is the expression of an infinite love for traveling and the idea that objects, just as photography, can hold the memory of a place.
Our story...
Born in Brussels in 1985, Geraldine de le Vingne has always been passionate about creativity, aesthetics, nature and travel.
The idea of her coin necklaces was initially imagined in 2009 when she took a trip to North America and came back home with a beautiful Canadian dime. She felt compelled to wear that coin around her neck as a permanent reminder of the glorious trip she took, so she held onto it with that idea in mind.
No less than a decade later, after years of traveling around the world searching for beauty, freedom and peace while collecting more coins and other travel memories, she carried out the idea of her project.
She started Jay Jewelry with a strong desire to craft and share her precious "souvenirs" with others, eager to pass on her enthusiasm for adventure and inspire others to fulfill their dreams.
Geraldine loves coins for their beautiful designs as well as for their historical and cultural significance. She sees coins as meaningful items embodying strong symbolic value, whose potential is to make you feel connected to a special time and place.
She creates minimal, timeless, casual yet elegant jewelry to wear every day.
Our values and production methods
Dedicated to protect the nature that we love, we built our brand in alignment with slow-fashion values and sustainable production methods to create a durable product.

Locally made
Our jewelry is designed and handcrafted in Brussels by Géraldine. She is working with a family business based in Antwerp for the plating process. We offer a product that is 100% made in Belgium.

Up-cycled
We are using an existing products to create our handcrafted jewelry: original coins are conscientiously chosen, restored and then plated with precious metal.

Small scale production
We are producing our unique jewelry in very small quantity: making sure our products are sold before we create new ones, keeping our stock light and flowing, avoiding waste and unnecessary production.

High quality
Our jewelry is designed to last: they are plated with a thick layer of 18k gold or sterling silver. Favouring quality over quantity to offer a sustainable and long lasting product.

Eco-packaging
We designed a minimal plastic-free and eco-responsible packaging: using fairtrade & organic cotton for our pouches and biodegradable cardboard envelopes for deliveries. Reducing our waste to the minimum.

Our jewelry are all unique pieces. Most of them are one of a kind, some of them come in limited edition, and they all have their own little details and imperfections that are part of their story.
